About Us


We are two brothers running a 3rd generation family restaurant that was started from our fisherman grandfather at 1967 as a cook house, so locals can eat his catch. Today our main activity is still The Captain’s Restaurant but as the families mixed and our mother’s father was one of the largest olive oil wholesalers of parga we kept the tradition and cultivated his olive trees. Parga Family Farms was created primarily to embrace our extra virgin olive oil production moreover to connect the best local producers with traditional product seekers worldwide.

Nerajoula Premium 250ml



Monovarietal – Ladolia, Exclusive Cultivation – Nerajoula Farm, harvested and extracted according to the most modern international guidelines for quality olive oil production. Smells like a million Bananas, has a rich ripe fruit taste, with notes of Cinnamon and Herbs at the aftertaste. Rich in antioxidants, holds a Health Claim based on 432/2012 regulation of the EU.



AA Livadari 250ml



Monovarietal – Ladolia, Exclusive Cultivation – Livadari Estate, harvested and extracted according to the most modern international guidelines for quality olive oil production. Α completely clear taste, perfectly intertwined with the aroma, reminiscent of unripe fruits and refreshing aromatic herbs. The extremely spicy aftertaste is pleasant and long-lasting. Particularly rich in antioxidants, holds a Health Claim based on EU regulation 432/2012.

AA Livadari

Directly opposite to Nerajoula, lies the highest hill around of Parga. Benzevelios or Pentzovolios as it is usually mentioned in recent years, separates the Settlement of Livadari, which is located on the borders of the Municipal Unit of Parga. Livadari, at the foot of the other side of the hill and near Lake, has a completely different microclimate from Nerajoula and the central settlement of Parga. Livadari Estate has never seen fertilizers or medicines for ages, while Alkis Tzanis takes care of the olive trees around his residence. When our Alkis, noticed the quality of the olives and agreed with “the other” Alkis, so PARGA FAMILY FARMS would harvest the olives according to our standards, then AA Livadari was born, highlighting the characteristics of the olive grove to the ultimate. An olive oil that retains its green color for a much longer period than the rest of this variety and is equally pleasant either in food or consumed as a food supplement.

Nerajoula Premium

The best olive tree area in Parga. Extremely incline fields, with excellent water drainage, exposed to the wind and the sun all year long, so close to the sea but so protected from the salt by the hill. Their name… Nerajoula! A part of this land with the absolute for the olive trees soil, is cultivated today by our family with love and traditional techniques. When this was married with our youngest’s passion for knowledge “Nerajoula Premium” was born to recreate your senses. Eat it with bread or in a salad. Put it in every food after the cooking and it is going to even save your day when a recipe goes wrong!

Our Family Story

FROM 1957 TO TODAY

1957

The Captain’s first son, Giannis, was born.

1960

The Zoulas family started growing olive trees at Nerajoula Farm.

1961

Argyris Zoulas’ daughter, Melina, was born.

1967

The Captain’s Restaurant was founded by the Captain and his wife.

1981

Giannis & Melina met and started dating, despite their families’ will.

1987

They got married and their first son, Alcibiades (Alkis), was born.

1990

After the Captain passed away, Giannis took over the restaurant.

1991

Their second son, Argyris (Argy), was born.

1993

Argyris Zoulas passed away; Melina started cultivating Nerajoula Farm.

1995

Melina stopped the cultivation, finding it too demanding to continue alone.

2017

Giannis passed away; his sons Argy & Alkis took over the restaurant.

2018

Argy & Alkis began caring for Nerajoula Farm and its long-abandoned trees.

2019

Melina restarted cultivation with her children’s help.

2023

Nerajoula produced premium EVOO, bottled by The Captain’s Restaurant.
